The brief:
To obtain planning consent for the demolition of an existing commercial unit and replace with a new dwelling to compliment the complex of barns on the site.
Key features:
The only new dwelling within the development of barn conversions had to be subservient to the adjacent listed barn conversion and the design was critical to ensure the property would sit well within the other heritage properties on the site. It was considered that a barn style new build would complement the existing conversions and this was favoured by the Local Planning Authority and Conservation Officer. Due for completion in 2021, we can’t wait to see the final results.
Our role:
Obtain Planning consent, Technical design service and drawing package, obtaining Building Regulations.
